2017 Kia Cadenza Receives Top Safety Pick
At O’Brien Kia of Bloomington, we pride ourselves in being a true family dealership serving the greater Normal, IL area. And because families are such a large part of our customer base, we like to share information about the safety awards of our vehicles in an effort to make you feel more at ease about trusting the safety of your loved ones to a Kia car.
Kia cars in general have tons of safety features that take the worry out of everyday commutes and long road trips. The 2017 Kia Cadenza in particular is a super safe model as proven by its recent rating. Just announced, this vehicle has earned a Top Safety Pick+ Award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).
Redesigned for 2017, this vehicle earned “good” scores in all five crash test categories including the difficult small overlap test, which previous Kia Cadenza models did not go through. This test replicated what happens when the corner of a car hits a tree or pole at 40 miles per hour and the 2017 Kia Cadenza passed with flying colors.
Most significant, the Kia Cadenza scored a “superior” rating by the IIHS on front crash prevention technology. With a technology and limited trim forward collision warning feature, this car includes automatic emergency braking which has proven to help avoid car collisions during 12 and 25 mile per hour tests.
While the 2017 Kia Cadenza has not yet been rated by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), we have no doubts that it will score high. If you’re interested in shopping for a Kia car or receiving maintenance on yours, search for “Kia dealership near me,” and you’ll find O’Brien Kia of Bloomington. We look forward to helping you today!
